Saving Money Through Cloud Computing

Advances in cloud computing allow public and private sector agencies to access software, services and data storage through remote file servers. Darrell West concludes the cost savings a federal agency might expect from migrating to this cloud at between 25 and 50 percent. Based on this analysis, West recommends five steps to improve efficiency and operations in the public sector.
